A familiar DJ problem.

Crate Companion started with a London DJ’s own collection: years of audio and video, spread between a Mac and an external drive. Afrobeats next to R&B, old favourites next to fresh Amapiano, and crates that no longer told the whole story.

Knowing the music wasn’t the problem. Keeping the collection ready was.

We’re building a place to organize that knowledge: understand what is in a crate, prepare useful entry points, spot missing files, and carry the collection to another laptop.
